Louisa coffee table by Molteni

Vincent Van Duysen designs Louisa, a series of round and oval coffee tables in which the presence of wood and concrete is stated with an innovative tactile and aesthetic perception. The load-bearing structure, a conical central plinth, rises from the ground and grafts into a top hollowed out within it. The tops, almost like suspended trays, can be made of ash-colored concrete, brick red or white, or eucalyptus essence, and are distinguished by an original radiated pattern, obtained by a special process of joining the slabs. The base is made of curved plywood covered with eucalyptus essence or bent sheet metal painted in the color pewter, brick or white. Transversal objects, which can be combined with each other at will, with simplicity, lightness, elegance: the quintessence of modern design.
