Sangirolamo table by Poltrona Frau

Achille Castiglioni and Michele De Lucchi design the Sangirolamo table, a simple, almost austere item of furniture with an extraordinary balance between decorative lightness and structural weight. The slender and sinuous cast iron legs have a Liberty feel while the thick wooden top contrasts with and complements the airiness of the supports.
The Sangirolamo table is available in four different sizes, in the rectangular, oval and square variants. In the latter format the top is obtained by combining two panels of spruce blockboard with layers of cut poplar and MDF, while in the rectangular versions it is made from honeycomb panels. The top of the oval table is made of poplar plywood with edging and external surfaces in MDF. Finish in Canaletto walnut or, on request, burgundy lacquer. The legs are in powder-painted cast iron.
