Blevio table by Molteni
Designed in 1930, Blevio is a table that Ignazio Gardella designed and created in a single example for his family residence, Villa Usuelli in Blevio on Lake Como.
It is an extraordinarily harmonious and timeless piece of furniture, which today becomes a collective heritage; capable of condensing the purest characteristics of Gardella’s project in its intrinsic simplicity.
At Villa Usuelli, the table relates to richly decorated rooms, nineteenth-century floors and ancient family furnishings. As in that particular context, the formal but sculptural simplicity of Blevio is capable of creating a dialogue with the surrounding environments and with the most diverse styles, demonstrating a possibility of transversal use.
