Le Corbusier LC4 Chaise-longue by Cassina (chaise longue à reglage continu)

Among Cassina’s universal best-sellers, the Chaise longue à reglage continu represents the chaise longue par excellence. It was designed in 1928 based on a study of resting chairs to represent the concept of relaxation. It is testimony to the three designers’ desire to place man at the center of their design, expressing the full correspondence between form and function through a perfect balance between purity of design and user comfort. The stability of the cradle, at any angle of inclination, is ensured by friction with the rubber tubes used to line the pedestal stringers. Today this model is also reissued in a full black version, with a black frame, cradle and upholstery
