armchair Le Corbusier LC1 by Cassina (Fauteuil dossier basculant UAM)

A light and compact seat designed in 1928 and presented in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne along with other important models such as the Fauteuil Grand Confort, petit modèle and grand modèle armchairs, the Table tube d’avion table and the Chaise longue à reglage continu. Like other models in the collection, the Fauteuil à dossier basculant armchair derives from an in-depth study of the body’s posture and, in this particular case, offers itself as the perfect support for compound relaxation that predisposes to conversation. Its perfect compositional simplicity, adaptable to different contexts, is also declined in the 1928 versions for Villa Church and the 1930 version for the exhibition at the Union des Artistes Modernes.
