armchair Le Corbusier LC1 Fauteuil dossier basculant Villa Church by Cassina

This version of the armchair was designed for the Villa Church à Ville-d’Avray in 1928 with an upholstered seat and back to meet the customer’s demand for extreme comfort. A similar upholstered model was also made, also in 1928, for the art gallery of collector Raoul La Roche.

Structure
– Tubular steel. Polished chrome finish. Folded sheet metal and painted gray color. Elastic straps of the seat top in black color.
Upholstery
– Blue satin fabric. Leather.
– Blue satin fabric armrests with gray-colored leather front and piping or full leather.
Backrest
– Metal frame equipped with elastic straps.
– Padding of polyurethane foam and polyester fiber wadding bonded with velveteen.
Seat
– Padding of polyurethane foam and polyester fiber wadding coupled with velveteen.
Foot
– Made of plastic material with black finish.
