Mesa Ellipse table by Poltrona Frau

The Mesa Ellipse marble table comes in different sizes and upholstery. All types of tops may have a brilliant or semi-brilliant finish and undergo a protective treatment that confers greater surface resistance, avoiding the absorption of liquids. The underside of the marble top is reinforced by a technical mesh that confers resistance thereto. The support structure of the elliptical top is made of painted steel and consists of a tubular element on which there rests a metal frame closed by a matte black painted aluminium sheet. The column base comes in different materials.

An elliptical table with an essential design, made up of only two elements, which lets the beauty of the shapes and materials speak for itself: the precious marble top with a slender elliptical shape that serves as a counterpoint to the massive column base. Available in various finishes, the particular veins of the marble top add uniqueness to each model, enhancing its pure and essential line. The Mesa collection was created by two design household names, Lella and Massimo Vignelli. Based on some unique drawings by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, Poltrona Frau embarked on a painstaking philological task, creating some unpublished versions of the original table, called Mesa Due. Two like the simple geometric shapes, a circle and a cone, combined to form a one-legged marble table with great personality and strong graphic sign.
