Chester Stella, born in Thiene in 1950, has been experimenting with art for forty years, concentrating his production on painting. Since the early seventies he has been collecting numerous official awards in Italy and abroad. In recent years, Stella has also used the experiences derived from numerous trips and long stays abroad to deepen his work, investigating reasons and meanings of different cultures.
In Bali the gods come down at night to inspire, the drawing is more instinctive. In Bali, people see ghosts, hear voices, making art means combining a tornado of emotions and spirit. Sometimes we also go outside the box, we go ‘beyond’, everything is done according to the needs of the spirit, or spirits.
His works, exhibited in public and private settings, recognized by international critics, are also permanently present in the collections of many European and non-European countries.
